What is Attraction Marketing?

Attraction marketing is a marketing strategy to attract potential customers to your business by showing them how your service/product/course/opportunity has bettered your own life and can improve theirs.  It’s about offering value first and foremost so people want to buy from you.

Attraction marketing is not about you personally per se, but about authentically offering value and education. The idea is not to mention your products or services at all, only your customers’ core needs.

Many people feel inauthentic trying to sell something – a bit like a car salesman spruiking his wares.! But, when you address your customers’ problems first and offer them value, it is a much easier marketing tactic for most people.

How Do I Implement Attraction Marketing?

1. Ideal Customer

2. Customers’ Problems

Next, work out what problems your target audience have so you can address their needs.   If you are selling skin care products, you wouldn’t mention your products at all if you are using attraction marketing as your strategy.  Instead, you would address the problems your customers have e.g. dry skin or blemishes or wrinkles.

3. Compelling Message

Thirdly, make sure you have a compelling message about what is required to solve your customer’s problem. You can offer value with tips and stories.

4. Share Your Message

Get your message out on social media.  Ultimately, you will get more sales by offering value authentically and consistently using attraction marketing as your strategy.

5. Show Your Expertise

Use content to show your expertise.  Blogs, articles, videos, podcasts and images can all be shared on social media.  And remember, each piece of content can be repurposed to get more exposure on different social media platforms.
